There is a lot of buzz around how recruiting and consumer marketing should be similar to each other. Our research is revealing that it is a necessity for talent acquisition (TA) functions to operate like marketing and sales function. However the objectives should not just be about speed and outcomes, e.g. recruiting techniques should not lead to just filling roles as fast as possible, but it should be about the quality of hire and the time to hire.
