Clifton Park, NY, February 23, 2012
– NetLearning, part of Cengage Learning and a leading provider of online courses and e-learning software for healthcare workers and hospital administrators, today announced that the NetLearning Learning Management System (LMS) has been presented with a Silver Award by Brandon Hall for Technology Excellence in the Best Advance in Learning Management Technology category.

Over 600 facilities nationwide are able to efficiently manage the educational requirements of their staff using the NetLearning LMS. Striving to provide its customers with maximum flexibility, the NetLearning LMS is fully customizable and can be tailored specifically to each facility’s internal branding and requirements.  While the NetLearning LMS continues to boast a fully web-based Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery model, pre-assessment by course and curriculum and a customizable portal-based end user interface, the LMS also boasts additional breakthrough features, including:

NetManagerPlus – delegates administrative privileges to the department level making front-line and mid-level managers more efficient while administrators retain overall control. CourseManagerPlus – designed to streamline managing a healthcare institution’s course licenses. This tool provides reporting on course licenses and expirations, usage and enrollments for all courseware used through NetLearning.

  • e-Commerce – online storefront for computer-based learning courses. Allows learners to browse course titles and descriptions, make online purchases and access those purchased courses within the NetLearning LMS.

“We are honored to be recognized by Brandon Hall with this Silver Award for Best Advance in Learning Management Technology,” said Will Passano, vice president, NetLearning. “This award is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to providing the healthcare community with products that increase the ease and efficacy of staff training. With extensive customer input, we were able to design an LMS that continues to evolve with the needs of our customers and with the ever-changing healthcare industry. When facilities are able to train their staff efficiently the end result is better, more thorough patient care.”

Said Mike Cooke, chief executive officer, Brandon Hall Group, “2011 provided us with a unique viewpoint of how organizations are driving business results and performance improvement through technology. This was the year in which technology providers and their clients have been able to transform the power of mobile, social, talent, learning, sales and marketing technologies, with proven, validated results.  Most impressive to our judges was an underlying theme around collaborative relationships, a deep understanding of client needs and how technology can be leveraged to create opportunities and operating efficiencies for organizations of all sizes.  I am proud to announce these first-rate solution providers as award winners in the most competitive year yet.”
