New Research Reports

Research Summary: Performance Management

Of all the core processes within Talent Management, it’s safe to say that performance management (PM) has been getting the most press in the last five years. Most of the coverage has focused on efforts by a few iconic organizations to drop forced distribution
and go to a ratingless PM system. Lost in all the hype: Brandon Hall Group’s latest PM research shows that what actually makes performance management work (or not work) has absolutely nothing to do with ratings.

Boomers to Millennials: Using Learning to Fill Your Knowledge Gap

In the five-generation workforce, Baby Boomers often have valuable tribal information that has not been passed down to their younger colleagues, and they are retiring at a rapid pace. However, with the right strategy and tools, organizations can prepare future leaders, develop them to the appropriate levels, and fill talent gaps without losing critical organizational knowledge. This research brief includes success stories from organizations that have made significant progress in bridging the knowledge gap.

Questions from Members

One of the great things about membership to Brandon Hall Group is the ability to ask questions to our team of analysts, who will respond within 24 hours. Here are the questions answered this week:

  • Have any global big firms leveraged external MOOC providers for offering company exclusive trainings, instead of creating entire content & platform internally?
  • I many instances, we are converting ILT to WBT, and want to understand how should we ensure that we are not losing the essence of ILT while converting? Are there any best practices or processes that we should follow for this?
