How Organizations Extend Learning
More than half of organizations surveyed in Brandon Hall Group’s 2017 Extended Learning Study are seeing the value of offering learning to remote and distributed employees and external groups — particularly customers, sales teams, and customer and technical support teams. In fact, close to one-third of organizations offer learning daily or weekly to those groups. This KnowledgeGraphic breaks down use of extended learning by company size and shows the frequency of learning delivered to various learner groups.
HCM Analytics Maturity Model
This model, based on HCM measurement and analytics research over several years and updated with results from Brandon Hall Group’s 2017 HCM Measurement and Analytics Study, depicts four levels of HCM analytics maturity. The levels range from Tactical and Functional, where organizations engage in “What-Is” reactive reporting featuring ad hoc metrics and reports, benchmarks and dashboards, to Operational and Strategic, where organizations engage in “What-If” predictive planning that has a significant business impact.

Lenovo Trains Channel Sales Partners through Virtual Conferencing
In 2014, major acquisitions made Lenovo #3 worldwide in both servers and smartphones. The North American Sales Learning & Development team faced the challenge of training an expanded list of partners on a broader product line. Live training cost over $250,000 for 250 channel sales professionals. So, Lenovo selected the ON24 virtual environment to deliver training to the sales and technical partner community. Since January 2016, the use of virtual events to train the partner community has reduced training costs, boosted attendance and improved customer satisfaction while yielding a 300% ROI in only two events.

How to Solve the Content Discovery Problem
We’re living in a paradoxical time. We are simultaneously drowning in content and starving for relevant knowledge that can improve performance. Learning & Development leaders are under pressure to provide value and results, but remain at a loss for a single solution to act as a “Netflix of learning.” David Wentworth, Principal Learning Analyst at Brandon Hall Group, hosted the webinar on solving the content discovery problem with Daniel McKelvey, Vice President of Partner Solutions at EdCast.
Learning’s Big Data Problem: Measuring and Analyzing Impact
The wave of information known as Big Data has been growing exponentially in recent years, and organizations are hungrier than ever for more data. They collect data from systems across the enterprise, certain that it holds the key to improving results. In the face of all this information, it is critical that organizations get better at not only collecting more meaningful data, but also understanding just what it all means. This webinar reviewed the results of Brandon Hall Group’s 2016 Learning Measurement Study and 2017 Learning Analytics Study, identifying what organizations are measuring, what they aren’t, and how they are making use of that data.
