Wisetail LMS Offers Sophisticated Branding

Wisetail LMS positions itself as a consumer-facing media tool that drives user engagement and provides custom branding and configuration to communicate a client’s message in a seamless, subtle manner. Early on, Wisetail started with the premise that the learner must be inspired by every possible touch-point within the LMS. Compliance: The Devil is in the Details

For many organizations, compliance training is seen as a necessary evil – a type of medicine to be taken. This perception can cause companies to overlook many of the details that go into the delivery of effective compliance training. And ineffective training can result in audits, fines, accidents, or worse.

Challenges also arise if there is not a consensus as to who owns compliance. Is it a training function or an HR function? How are Legal and Quality involved? Answers may vary greatly by industry as well as the unique compliance challenges an organization faces.

Cornerstone Brings a New Experience to Learning

In recent years, much of the focus of learning technology has been on the learner experience. In Brandon Hall Group’s 2017 HCM Outlook survey, 64% of companies said that the learner experience would receive moderate to heavy attention over the coming year, second only to aligning learning with the business strategy. Companies are trying to figure out how to deliver an intuitive, non-intrusive, engaging experience to learners after decades of serving up lists of SCORM courses.

Behavioral Insight: The Key to Taking Tough out of Tough Conversations

In business, we’re taught to know our competitors and keep our opponents closer than our friends to excel. I lost track of the number of executive planning meetings where The Art of War, an ancient Chinese Military treatise by Sun Tsu, was prescribed as preparation to perform well on the business battlefields.

But, whether they be market competitors or allies or even colleagues, can we really know our business associates well enough to fine tune our strategies and execute our most challenging and crucial plans with—or despite—them? Is there a great way to take the TOUGH out of tough conversations?

WorkHuman: A Philosophy Worth Emulating

The running joke on Twitter for Globoforce’s WorkHuman conference in Phoenix last week was to refer to the event as #HRWoodstock. It is an accurate depiction in that individual enlightenment was an important part of the event.

But there is a noticeable difference between viewing recognition (Globoforce’s purview) as an ROI question and seeing it as a force that benefits individuals. But bridging that gap is critical because of the growing number of employees who work from home or remotely. Their ability to feel personally connected has a big impact on engagement, retention, and performance. This is not to say that the individual is more important than the group, or that Globoforce is running a charity. But the idea that not everything is driven by profit, and that personal improvement and recognition are important in and of themselves, is enough of a departure to seem revolutionary.
