Zynga Increases New-Hire Engagement with ZONE

During 2014 and 2015, as Zynga transitioned from web to mobile gaming, leaders knew they needed to indoctrinate new hires with Zynga core values and its ongoing mission of connecting the world through games. To that end, the company created ZONE (Zynga Orientation for New Employees). ZONE allows Zynga to take the essential information all new hires need and reimagine its delivery using exciting gaming elements.

Linkedin’s ‘Mindful Moments’ Blends Employees and Culture

At Linkedin, the company strives to teach employees to be mindful of the company’s culture and values. As being more mindful is scientifically proven to increase productivity, emotional intelligence, resiliency and leadership effectiveness, Linkedin built and launched a global, scalable, blended mindfulness learning solution called Mindful Moments to help employees develop self-awareness and emotional regulation skills needed to be more productive, successful at work, and in life in general.

Accelerating New-Manager Impact at Intuit

Intuit partnered with BTS, a Swedish professional services firm, to re-imagine the existing New Manager Essentials program, and improve it in response to a need across the organization for higher retention, higher employee engagement scores, and better business results. Intuit addressed four organizational issues by creating this experience: accelerating the business impact of new managers, living and leading through Intuit values, creating a real-time, high-performance culture of feedback and coaching, and integrating externally-hired leaders into the Inuit culture.

Agile Learning Design for Training on Digital Keys at Hilton Worldwide  

In 2015, Hilton Worldwide began offering guests the ability to use their smartphones as a “digital key” to access their rooms and other areas within the hotel. Since the Digital Key technology was new, the project resulted in frequent technology changes and process refinements. As a result, training for hotel employees affected by the change needed to follow an agile learning design approach on all types of devices. The Digital Key training consists of 21 modules, which were assigned across 12 affected roles at the hotel.

Creating a Leadership Culture at Paramount with Leaders Studio

Paramount teamed with GP Strategies’ BlessingWhite division to develop a unique leadership program, Leaders Studio, to develop authentic leadership and provide the right tools and skills to think strategically, communicate effectively, and motivate and recognize team members. In addition, the design incorporated several components of leader self-awareness and emotional intelligence – and how those can be leveraged and maximized in working with others across the organization.

Mike held leadership and executive positions for the majority of his career, at which he was responsible for steering sales and marketing teams to drive results and profitability.
