Turkcell recently broke the 1 million customer barrier, but this growth has presented some challenges. While completing the growth phase, ensuring customer loyalty, new customer acquisition, and the need to increase sales revenue have grown in importance. The new training program developed by Turkcell was targeted at the sales team, helping this group to develop a customer-oriented perspective through every action taken on a daily basis. Targeting High Potentials with the Education Leader Development Program

In order to prepare the next generation of students, we need to make sure school leaders are adequately developed and groomed for the proper leadership roles. This is the challenge confronted by Doğa Schools. The private educational institution identified competencies that make up the “New Generation Education Leader” profile and used the nine-box performance/potential grid to target the development of high potential leaders. The school is using re-registration rates and teacher turnover as methods for evaluating performance of its administration team. This earned the Turkish education firm a Bronze Award for Best Advance in High Potential Development in the 2015 Excellence Awards.

Answers to Questions from Members

One of the great things about being a member of Brandon Hall Group is the ability to ask research questions to our team of analysts and get a detailed answer within 24 hours. These questions were answered this week:

  • My team is currently creating an RFP for evaluating curation platforms/applications. What criteria do you recommend for evaluating these offerings?
  • I work on proposals and RFPs in my organization and I need more insight to answer the following questions: How our team can minimize the impact on our SMEs? What are the common problems that SME faces while helping in the development of eLearning? How we can address those?
  • Has any member launched a leadership development program for professionals in higher education? If so, what were they key “lessons learned?”
